The Brick Church School is a Reggio-inspired, play-based preschool for children ages two to five on the Upper East Side (Carnegie Hill), founded in 1940 within The Brick Presbyterian Church. A developmental, child-centered curriculum integrating math, literacy, science and social studies is enriched by a dedicated art studio and weekly specials in art, music, movement, Spanish and library, plus regular outdoor play. Programs range from half-day Twos and Threes to a full-day Fours/Fives class that prepares children for kindergarten. An ISAAGNY member accredited by NYSAIS, Brick offers need-based tuition assistance to 10-17% of families and sends graduates on well-prepared to a range of NYC ongoing schools.
