The Penn Family Early Childhood Center at Park Avenue Synagogue is a Conservative Jewish nursery school on the Upper East Side (Carnegie Hill) serving about 100 children ages 2 through Pre-K. Its play-based, emergent curriculum follows children's interests and weaves in Hebrew, Jewish holidays and a connection to Israel, with weekly music and movement specialty classes. Classrooms are staffed by three educators each, ranging from Twos (up to 12 children) to Fours (up to 20). An ISAAGNY member school, it admits families on the ISAAGNY timeline; synagogue members receive priority and early notification, though membership is not required.
