Convent of the Sacred Heart is New York City's oldest independent all-girls school, founded in 1881 and housed in two landmarked Carnegie Hill mansions on Fifth Avenue. An independent Catholic school in the global Network of Sacred Heart Schools, it serves about 730 girls from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 with a rigorous college-preparatory program guided by the Sacred Heart Five Goals.
