The Nightingale-Bamford School is an independent all-girls, K-12 college-preparatory school on Manhattan's Upper East Side (Carnegie Hill), founded in 1920. Known for a rigorous liberal-arts and sciences program, it enrolls roughly 734 students with a 6:1 student-teacher ratio and an average class size of about 12. A member of ISAAGNY and the New York Interschool consortium, Nightingale admits primarily at Kindergarten (2026-27 tuition $71,665, uniform K-XII) and offers need-based financial aid to about 18% of students.
