Temple Emanu-El Nursery School is a play-based, values-driven preschool for children ages 2 through Pre-K, housed within Temple Emanu-El, a Reform Jewish congregation on the Upper East Side. Founded in 1951, it enrolls about 100 children across seven bright classrooms, with two rooftop playgrounds and a large indoor playroom. An ISAAGNY member school, it offers morning and extended-afternoon schedules that build from five-morning Twos classes to full-day Pre-K, plus a Tuesday/Thursday afterschool enrichment program. Congregation members and siblings receive admissions priority and a tuition reduction, though membership is not required.
