Success Academy Upper West is a tuition-free public charter school (K-8, entry at Kindergarten) on the Upper West Side, part of the high-performing Success Academy network. Its rigorous, college-preparatory model produces state test scores far above citywide averages (elementary ELA 95%, Math 97%), and every day blends demanding academics with art, music, chess, dance, theater, and athletics at no cost to families. Admission is by a free open lottery run by the network - separate from DOE MySchools - with a sibling preference. The 145 West 84th Street building houses the elementary (K-4) division, with upper grades at a separate middle-school campus.
