Trinity School is a coeducational K-12 independent college-preparatory school on the Upper West Side, founded in 1709 as a charity school and one of the oldest continuously operating schools in the United States. Now non-sectarian, it is known for academic rigor within a liberal-arts framework built on close student-teacher relationships. Kindergarten is the primary entry point, with a play-based, developmentally appropriate assessment. Comprehensive 2026-27 tuition is $69,000, and roughly 20% of students receive need-based financial aid.
