Stuyvesant High School is one of New York City's eight specialized public high schools, serving roughly 3,250 students in grades 9-12 from a landmark building at 345 Chambers Street on the Tribeca/Battery Park City waterfront. Admission is determined solely by the Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT), and Stuyvesant carries the highest cutoff score of any specialized school. Founded in 1904, it is nationally renowned for its STEM-focused, college-preparatory curriculum, offering 31 AP courses, 112 electives, a research program, and over 200 clubs plus 43 PSAL sports teams. It is tuition-free and posts a 98% four-year graduation rate with nearly all graduates enrolling in four-year colleges.
