The Anderson School (PS 334) is a citywide public Gifted & Talented school on the Upper West Side, serving grades K-8 since 1987. Its curriculum is both accelerated (about a year ahead) and enriched, with two small classes per grade and departmentalized instruction in the upper grades. State test proficiency is among the highest in the city (roughly 97-99% in ELA and math), and 8th graders routinely earn admission to top specialized public high schools like Stuyvesant and Bronx Science as well as leading independent schools. Admission is citywide through the NYC DOE G&T process in MySchools; the school does not enroll new students in grades 4 or 5.
