The Churchill School & Center is a K-12 coeducational independent school in Kips Bay, founded in 1972 and dedicated exclusively to bright students with language-based learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and language disorders. Its whole-child, college-preparatory program combines explicit, individualized academic instruction with on-site speech-language therapy, occupational therapy and counseling, plus a dedicated executive-functioning and social-skills curriculum. Small classes (roughly 8-13 students) are staffed by two teachers each, and graduates move on to college with intensive college guidance. Admission is rolling/year-round and requires a recent neuropsychological or psychoeducational evaluation; robust need-based financial assistance is available.

Whole-child, research-based approach for students with language-based learning disabilities (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, auditory processing and language disorders) who have average or above-average cognitive ability.
