Central Synagogue May Family Nursery School is a Reggio Emilia-inspired, play-based preschool for children ages 2 through Pre-K, housed within Central Synagogue, a Reform Jewish congregation in Midtown East. An emergent, child-centered curriculum integrates language, math, science, social studies, music and art alongside Jewish values, traditions and ritual. Weekly specialists in music and movement, science, library and gardening enrich the program, and children use rooftop learning gardens. An ISAAGNY member school, it offers a range of two-, three-, four- and five-day class options and sends graduates to leading NYC independent and select public schools.
