Christ Church Day School (CCDS) is a non-sectarian, child-centered preschool on the Upper East Side, founded in 1949 and serving roughly 90 children ages two to five on the 6th floor of Christ Church United Methodist at Park Avenue and 60th Street. Its developmentally-based, play-based program embraces the whole child and features Dalcroze/Kodaly-influenced music, movement/yoga classes, art, and a library. A rooftop playground and garden give it one of the largest outdoor play spaces in Manhattan. An ISAAGNY member, CCDS admits by application and sends graduates to a wide range of NYC independent and select public schools.
